Motors
We supply both electrically-biased direction system motors and mechanical
direction system motors. Both types of motors are available in hundreds
of tooled speeds, with various output configurations, and both are
available with either clockwise or counterclockwise output rotation.
MTS motors come with a standard Class A rating (up to 105º C
ambient), but all motors are also available in the Class B rating
(up to125º C ambient).
M004
The M004 motor has an electrically-biased direction system, consisting
of a shading bar that facilitates instantaneous starting (250 milliseconds
or less) in the correct direction. It can be used in conjunction
with electronic circuitry to control its operation and is highly
tolerant of voltage fluctuations. It has a rotor speed of 450 RPM
(at 60 Hz) and carries a stall torque rating of 112 in/oz at 1 RPM.
It can be used in dual frequency applications when the 50/60 Hz
coil is specified.
M002
and M006
The M002 and M006 models are both mechanical direction system motors,
which utilize an integral “no-back” pawl that orients
the rotor in the proper direction. The M002 has a rotor speed of
600 RPM (at 60 Hz) and carries an exceptionally high stall torque
rating of 375 in/oz at 1 RPM. The M006 is a cost-effective alternative
for a wide variety of applications. It has a rotor speed of 240
RPM (at 60 Hz) and carries a stall torque rating of 43 in/oz at
1 RPM.
